Most people travel around St Barts by car. However, motorcycles and scooters often share the road. Taxis, private drivers and tour buses can also be reserved.
Because St Barts has a mountainous terrain, roads may be narrower and steeper than what you are used to. Make sure you are prepared.
All drivers must be licensed and follow the rules of the road such as wearing a seat belt, not driving distracted, obeying road signs and other expected regulations.
St Barts is small and there are so many shops, restaurants and beaches in nearby distance, you also may be able to walk to many of your destinations.
